Victoria Anderson a member of this group currently holds a position of Community Assistant at the Villas at Chestnut Ridge. Her position includes leasing duties along with on-site accommodations for residents. Her experience has led her to believe that a new system needs to be implemented for the company to become more efficient.
The system that is currently being used at the Villas at Chestnut Ridge are:
*Paper Trail to show communication with residents
*Microsoft Excel for contact information of current residents and Guarantor
*A program called LAMS to input information
*Software called MRI to track resident's balance and work orders.
We proposed to use a program called Access to help with time efficiency along with cost savings. It provides the ability to pull up the residents' statement, work orders and information altogether from just one program. The modification will help the staff process over 600 current residents' information and their work order submissions more efficiently. The information in the database will be accessible within access, and will clearly show which apartments need work done. The clarity of information provided by Access, will prevent issues with works orders not being fulfilled and help the maintenance staff stay on track.
Microsoft Access will greatly improve how data is handled at the Villas at Chestnut Ridge. It will allow for better data management, increased time efficiency, and easier for employees to use. This database will be useful for years, even if the company expands in the future.
